SUMMARY:Generous Space Camp-OUT
DESCRIPTION:We’re so grateful for the opportunity to return to camp together for the August long weekend at Russet House Farm\, hosted by Brian Walsh (author\, professor & chaplain at U of T) and Sylvia Keesmaat (author & professor at the ICS & TST). Brian & Sylvia seek to cultivate a sustainable relationship with creation\, so they practice organic methods of agriculture\, preserve rare breeds\, use renewable energy\, promote species diversity\, local economic development\, and sustainable forestry\, and create a place of hospitality\, education\, and celebration.  The Farm is about 1.5 hours northeast of Toronto\, and we will help arrange rides for carpooling up there. \n\n \n #gallery-1 {\n margin: auto;\n }\n #gallery-1 .gallery-item {\n float: left;\n margin-top: 10px;\n text-align: center;\n width: 25%;\n }\n #gallery-1 img {\n border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;\n }\n #gallery-1 .gallery-caption {\n margin-left: 0;\n }\n /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nYou can choose to join us for the full long weekend (3 nights) or for a shorter part of it (see ticket prices on registration page).  We will be tenting in an open field\, so some camping gear (tents\, sleeping bags\, mats\, etc.) will be necessary\, but we will plan ahead of time so that those who have extra can share with people who don’t have gear of their own.  We are already planning some delicious meals\, and we’ll be sorted into teams to take turns supporting them in cooking and cleaning up. \nIn the daytime\, there will be opportunities for hanging out and playing board games & sports\, with the option of also learning & lending a hand around the farm. There is lots to do in the surrounding area\, and morning and afternoon trips can be arranged among campers interested in swimming in the nearby lakes\, hiking\, horseback riding\, golfing\, farmer’s markets\, and more.  In the evenings\, Brian & Sylvia will share reflections with us\, and we’ll enjoy singing and snacks around the campfire. \nIf your health prevents you from tenting\, there are very limited indoor beds on site: please contact beth@newdirection.ca.  If you want to be with us during the day\, but you don’t like camping\, we can recommend some nearby motels and B&Bs (note that the full registration fee will still apply if you stay off-site). \n[vc_row][vc_column]Continue to Registration[/vc_column][/vc_row] \n
