Now is the Time: Allyship and the LGBTQ+ Community

What does it mean to be an LGBTQ+ ally in the church? How can LGBTQ+ Christians and straight/cisgender allies work together to catalyze more equitable communities of belonging for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities?

Generous Space is excited to welcome Sarah Bessey (speaker, blogger, and author of “Jesus Feminist” and other best-selling books). After an introduction to queer experiences of allyship, Sarah will share about her journey toward allyship, and will join a mixed panel of LGBTQ+ and straight Christians discussing the pitfalls and opportunities entailed in partnering around this work. We will close by introducing some ally-specific resources and opportunities for networking with other local allies.

Everyone is welcome to join us. In lieu of tickets, we will receive a freewill offering to help cover our costs and support Generous Space’s ongoing work.
